today yielded just about a foot of the white stuff. not bad, relatively fluffy, snowblower just ripped through it.
I've got Michelin PA4 snows on the E550 which is AWD, so getting anywhere was not an issue...
except that there was one spot this morning where the dum-dums in front of me couldn't make the hill.
One red VW somehow managed to catch his on fire trying to climb the hill.

Funny that I started this thread and then got our power knocked out on Wed eve....not by the early Wed am ICE storm (coating wires, shrubs and trees) but by the UTILITY company triage team They removed a bunch of limbs hanging on main power feed behind our house and our house went BLACK We had just hosted a potluck dinner for "uphill" neighbors who lost power 12 or more hours earlier.
Anyhow, we hunkered down, lit up the fireplace and slept for two nights under a pile of covers. Inhouse temp the first morning was 49* and down to 45* the second morn. Power came back on 3:10 pm on Friday...not a religious person but THANK GOD
An amazing 50% of the 1.8 MM households in the 4 suburban counties around Philly lost power for some period of time. There are STILL some folks in less populated areas w/o power....now 100 hours for those in the worst situation.

As I recall the longest winter outage we experienced was 4 days and it is wonderful to get back to warm showers, flushing toilets, etc. and heat is nice too.
