No need to pay to be Vintage and there is no vote (good thing for me ). You only have to claim to be 40 or more years old to qualify. You can even become a "Pre-vint" if you are under 40 and promise not to be a punk. . If you are well over 40 then you are welcome to be a punk if that is your typical disposition .
pre-vint eh? i like the sound of that

I believe I have may had something to do with it when I requested attendance/acceptance at the '05 SF at the age of 35. May I have been the original "pre-vint"?

ill be 32 in 6 months...close enough?
Close enough to what?
to earning my pre-vint benefits of cheap hotel rooms and just getting warnings on the dragon

You could be a pre-vint (you don't act stupid very often...about as often as I do ).
sweet but ken you must be referring to our monday night dinner at wtd9(thanks again btw ) ? if you are, you have to refresh my memory as i still cant recall how i got back to my room
Getting back to your room involved you using the Braille method and following the weave in the carpet.

but the carpet didnt have bumps on it

1. I'm reallly looking forward to participating since I have never done anything like this before, being a boring person who doesn't get out much. In my younger days, we used to go to car auctions, buying, selling and wishing, but we never thought about actualy DRIVING the cars for FUN, we thought they were for profit, ha! Oh, to be young!!! Guess we missed the point!
2. Can't wait to get a schedule or whatever since I intend to hit town Thursday evening from Indy, b/c of some other family things I have to take care of in Dayton and Zanesville before I hit Marietta; there's probably one on this thread, but I haven't even read it all yet.
3. I have been so busy after my late night evening class Wed. driving to St. Louis and buying another hardtop in my Suzuka blue color that I couldn't even tell you whether the dinner is Friday or Saturday evening, I'll have to go back and read the posts over again.
4. I think Ken said he'd be around on Friday doing some finalizations, perhaps I'll get a cell number so I can hang with him some on Friday since I'll be around by Thursday evening, sounds like I'll beat him in town. I could get busy with something like a morning cmp class and leave later on Thursday depending on how slow I anticipate the other Thursday family things to go, meaning how little of time I can put in before leaving, ha!

1. Hey Looter, recognize the moniker! Really appreciate it and would be so glad to do so, but I have to stop and see family in Dayton and Zanesville, I'm so boring I wouldn't be driving over just for a drive; I'm combining it with another trip I needed to make this summer, ha! Although, driving in a group could be cool sometime. If only my wife enjoyed the wind in your hair, it would be perfect, but we both don't like to travel much; anything over 2 hrs. "tuckers" us out. It's all I can do to visit the grandkids in TN which is a 5ish hr. trip.
2. Maybe on the way back, but I'll be going to church Sunday am with old friends (despite the fact that Ken would like to see me too loaded for any church-going on Sunday, ha!), and it's possible, anyway, I could wait until Monday to head back since my I only teach an evening class and no day classes.
3. But, I sincerely appreciate the thought!

1. I saw the comment about "on track" and I thought, "Oh, if they only knew on my ramblings on S2KCA I would be banned!
2. I have a special "gift" that could be worked into a very short but humorous presentation at dinner, or better yet when everyone is around that knows Ken, for him, based on some things that have been said. Of course, I can give it to him w/o anyone around for fun, but for those that know him, they would get a chuckle. I haven't even said anything to him on the other site or in pm, this will be the first he'll know about it. Just bought his "gift" today, ha!!!
3. And, for the benefit of those who don't know me on this site, I think I'm funny!!!
