Since we're talking about clutch problems -
For the last few weeks I've been experiencing an issue with the clutch pedal. The first 3/4-1" of the travel from the floor seems to stick or hang when I depress or press the pedal. It's really just a transient sort of thing - doesn't happen all the time and doesn't seem to have any particular condition as to hot/cold. It's mostly just a nuisance when starting out in 1st gear as I never know how much to let off the pedal.
I'm thinking something needs lubrication and the slave may be the place to start. Are there points in the pedal mechanism that need periodic lubrication?
ACT clutch kit w/street disk with about 8000 miles. No other symptoms - clutch still grips great and the car is otherwise the same.
'00 with 57K on the clock. Geared and blown.

You might try lubing the clutch pedal pivot to see if that helps. There's not much else on the pedal mechanism to lube. Some transient problem with the slave, CMC, or the clutch itself is more likely, I think.

Thank you. Mine works fine at the moment, but when I flush my clutch hydraulics this year, I will add this to the to do list.

I remember reading that thread years ago but it had completely slipped my mind. Thanks for the link and the replies.
I've got to put the car in the shop next week for some other maintenance so I'll have that checked as well - seems the most likely culprit for a 12 year old car.
