It only took four years, but today, Rick was able to hold Morgan while I gave her claws a trim! No meds needed either! The last time I had tried some gabapentin which made her sick. She still doesn't care to be held for long, but she did cooperate! She is still taking her prozac and her fur looks good.

Also in the world of pets, we have seen some very different dogs on our walking outings lately. An Irish Wolfhound, Rhodesian Ridgegbacks, a Russian wolfhound now known as a Borzoi, a Great Dane, a full sized Australian Shepherd and a few cute mixed breeds. Most people are willing to tell you about their dogs if you ask what breed they are. We never pet a dog without asking permission.

We located one of our favourite pictures that we had of our two cats. We are making some copies of this picture and framing it for display in our family room. It is our favourite as the cats look so cute in it.

Rocky was just a few months old (tabby), and Butterscotch (grey siamese mix) was 17 years old at the time. I was cooking in the kitchen and they jumped up on some containers and they were waiting for me to turn around with the food, they look so curious in this picture it is funny. Butterscotch passed away shortly after the picture was taken, Rocky remains with us to this day. There is something about this picture that is very funny and cute , we want to have it framed as a momento.

Breeder is in CT about 10 miles northwest of New Haven.
It will be about a two and a half hour drive to pickup.
Vet appt. is setup to check them out at 4:20 PM.

I have 3 big ones.
I'm wrestling with where to put the litter box. (boxes?)
I do hate cleaning out a litter box which is why I got the litter robot.
I've read kittens need the litter box close or they might get impatient and won't make it.
The downside of a big house.
Barb has also come around on the cats being in our bedroom which means a litter robot there.
Nothing turns a cat ownership experience sour like a stinky litter box when you want to sleep.

I know nothing about liter robots but I do know about litter boxes. I volunteered for years with cats and kittens. One job was at a PetSmart and I would go and clean the litter boxes of the kittens that were up for adoptions, and then play with them. Kittens are known for wet poop and messy habits. They're not sick. They just are getting used to eating real food and they can't help it. I would suggest a your cats stay in a small area for a day or two to get used to the cat box before venturing out in your whole house. I used to have a litter box in my master bedroom bathroom but even with a nice litter mat some litter stuck to their fur and it would end up in my bed. I finally stopped that litter box. The only place I have any now is in the laundry room. It still gets stuck to their feet even with some good mats to walk on when when they get out to knock it off. Litter still ends up on the hardwood floor but not nearly as much as it would without those mats. Cats figure it out fairly fast. Talia was the only cat I had that didn't figure it out instantly.
