Sue, she hasn't quite mastered the door knob yet. She can push open doors to the closet, and of course, doors that are not quite closed.

That is so cute. All of our cats had an obsession with closed interior doors, or partially closed doors, they want doors open in our house whenever possible. When we shower with the door closed they just wait to bust in as soon as possible when the shower is done. lol.

My only female cat, Talia, is 11 years-old today. The vet's email reminded me. As I type this she is a foot to my right in one of the cat beds on my desk.
^10-16-2013. Selfie when I drove about 230 miles to the breeder's home and chose my kitten. I had to wait until the litter was 10-1/2 weeks-old to get her. This little girl f(Talia) feel asleep on my shoulder. After seeing the breeding area and how destruction some of the kittens were, I wanted a calmer one. I watched a young male rip a large cardboard box into shreds. That concerned me. Her litter was 5-1/2 weeks old when I took this photo.
^11-21-2013. Talia's first night with me in Trabuco Canyon, CA.
^11-21-2013. Talia's contrast has faded on her rosettes. Her eyes are greener than they were as a kitten.
^11-27-2013. Sixth day as my kitten.
^12-9-2013. After seeing her run inside the clothes dryer, I bought a cat wheel.
^2-13-2014. Talia at 5 months old, 1 of 6 photos. As I watched this unfold, there was nothing I could do but watch. I never thought she'd save herself and that my kitchen wouldn't be destroyed. I was amazed.

^9-7-2024. Talia's moment of arousal before going after Saint. See the puffy tail? She's never liked him but he's a brat. He bats all three cats when they walk by.
^9-7-2024. Her victory walk after she chased him off and pulled some white fluff off of him.
^10-8-2020. I'm just so glad I still have Talia! She became paralyzed in her hind legs at one point and I thought I was going to have to put her down. She most likely had a slipped disc but medications helped her recover in two days. What a shitty year 2020 was! After she was walking again we were evacuated for the Cameron Peak fire and we had Covid in full swing that year.
^9-7-2024. Birthday goodies.
