Morgan was deep in slumber this AM and I was able to scoop her off the bed and put her in her crate. The vet tech was holding a 1:30 appt for her. I went by this AM as the vet tech would likely trim her nails when I went in. As it happened the vet tech was out sick. I left Morgan there and went back at 1:30. It took the other vet tech and the vet quite a while to get Morgan's nails trimmed and both had to put on protective gloves...The usual tech gets it done in less than five minutes. She must be the cat whisperer.
The vet thinks, Morgan's overgrooming is due to allergies and gave her another cortisone shot and suggests a liquid medication which is actually for immune issues. Reviews says the taste is awful A bottle of it is over $100.00, the reviews indicate it has good results.
It is not available in flavored liquid, though it can be mixed with food. My one attempt at giving Morgan liquid medication was a fail, and she is a very picky eater. Doesn't eat wet food so I'm not sure how I will get this medication in her.
Checked around and found a compounding pharmacy which tacks on $55.00 to the medication price.....
To be continued....no more cats!
Edit: Picked up a few choices of wet cat food and Morgan gave one a try...that helps if I have to hide medication. Also called the compounding pharmacy. Flavor choices are available. At this point I may have a better chance of getting medication into her with flavoring than trying to hide an awful tasting medication in food.
Waiting for a price on the medication.

Thank you kindly. Her name is Rocky. We had her for a couple months thinking she was a male (as the people told us), and we later found out from the vet that Rocky was a female, but we kept her name as Rocky lol. My wife will sometimes calls her Rocketta, my mother calls her Rocco , so it is all over the place lol
