^^ Gorgeous picture of an absolutely beautiful dog! Wow! Well, Ziggy and I had a showdown about the trimming of his nails. I've been trying for several weeks to trim his sharp cat-like claws and my arms look as if I've been in a cat fight. Sooo, I suddenly remembered how much he despises his harness so I decided the way to get him into submission was to put that harness on so I could trim those razor like nails. After putting on the harness he seemed sufficiently traumatized to allow me to trim those nails and voila it worked. After the deed was done and I removed the harness Ziggy ran underneath my chair (his "safe place") and hid for about a half hour. He then came out and hopped on my lap. All good and now he's not mutilating my arms and legs.

We don't trim tian's nails, he does. he pretty vigorous about chewing his nails.

The story behind the pic.
The head of our bed is sort of in a small alcove about 2 feet deep and there are overhead lights in it.
Sometimes when Barb wants to sleep I use a rechargeable flashlight to read my phone by,
I had it on bouncing off the wall and Titan wandered over. Fortunately I had my phone in my hand and could get the shot.
Needless to say I never would have tried to set up the shot.

My wife likes to decorate around a number of seasons and holidays. Rocky has to get involved in all of the decorations. Christmas is going to be crazy as my wife goes nuts with Christmas decorations by the hundreds, Rocky is going to have a heyday.

Sigh

My wife is a wonderful person and puts up with most of my peculiarities.
She let's me get all of my cars and things but she is a dog person.
She is not a cat person. I'd have a Maine coon in a heartbeat.
but wait how about two maine coon cats?

I think Titan and them would get along great.

Get them. Unless swmbo is allergic. They won't break your bones like motorcycles.

Yeah Rocky runs the joint, she is happy when we are around her, particularly my wife. We were sold a male cat, and Rocky was so small that it was really hard to tell either way. After we got her to the vet we found out that we got a female cat, we just kept calling her Rocky as we had done so since we brought her home.

I've always wanted a Maine Coon Cat, but allergies prevent cats from being in my house. I don't get to pet them or I get hives and being in close proximity causes my eyes to itch and swell and sneezing fits. I do really like them, but sadly will never get to be a cat parent.

Let's just say there wasn't a lot of doubt in her response.
after being together for 46 years, she has this way of setting her jaw that says no means NO!!!! absolutely not, is something stuck in your ears because that ain't gonna happen.
so other than I'm not poking the bear. which is too bad these guys are awesome.
