I pulled out my old DSLR camera that I haven't used in years, I thought my son might want to mess around with photography. I found an older picture of my now deceased friend - Hershey - on the camera from a few years back. He loved being in pictures with my car parts, he would always hang around my car parts and it always made for good pictures, lol.

The second picture is one I just took tonight with the camera, it is of our newest cat Rocky, she is pretty cute. We call her "man-hands" as she has big paws for a little body, and she walks with such heavy steps sounding like a bull dog, lol. I had to test out the camera after being away for a couple years.

Same weekend as the birds ... The BnB owner's daughter's dog - Bernie. I had never seen (IIRC) and Australian Shepherd in those colors.

Jerry, I don't recall where you posted this cartoon . . . and suggesting it might apply to my Roxy.

I shared it with a couple of the neighbors that know her and this was their replies.

Morgan is an "over groomer". I'd post a pic, but she doesn't like me to be touching her paws. Her belly has had sparse fur since we got her. Now the back of her paws is looking rough. I remembered that the shelter had arranged for a steroid shot before we brought her home. So this is nothing new. I don't think she has allergies, the skin doesn't look raw, but I called the vet. I asked if we could try a cortisone shot when I next bring her in to get her claws trimmed. Maybe she does have an itch that needs to be calmed down.

This is not a cat that I'd be able to medicate on a regular basis. One of us would not survive. All human contact is on her terms.

Has anyone here ever had a cat with this issue? Over grooming can be related to anxiety, stress, change. However, I can assure you this cat leads a pretty chill life with us.

^Not me, Lainey. My sister's dog is on Prozac for non stop paw licking and air licking.

Saint turned one on Jul 12th.

Late last year Barbara (AKA The Plant Pixie) arranged to rescue two female cats because the owner was put in a memory care unit that did not allow pets. It was against my wishes, as I knew that it would be up to me to deal with the litter box, etc. As well as the expense involved, $51 for Science Diet hair ball control food, and the $315.01 vet bill yesterday (the equivalent of four tanks of gas these days) to have them checked out and their shots updated. As it turned out, Barbara has nick named me "Cat Nip" because they both seem to love me. Every time I sit in my Lazy Boy they both jump up into my lap, not hers.

Matt did you expect anything else?

I just let Titan in, he was sitting on the back deck barking up a storm.
I went out because it is rather unusual for a mastiff to bark much.
He was looking down the stairs and barking at the bunny at the foot of the stairs but not going after him (her?).
Of course he knows he can't catch them ( drag race between sport bike and fully loaded tractor-trailer.)
So he just sat and barked.
