Here are some doggie photos from this past weekend. Andy and I took the dogs with us to our place at Kennedy Meadows, in the south eastern Sierra Nevadas. We walk to the South Fork of the Kern river and it's our doggie's favorite place to go.
^Here's our white trailer (trash) as we walked back up from the river.
^This is Whiskey. She'll be 13 in August. She can barely see, she has arthritis in her spine, her back end is unstable, and she seems to be senile. We had tied her up to leave her at the trailer, and were taking the other two dogs down to the river. She figured it out and barked and whined so we came right back and took her too. We have to kind of steer her around the bushes with the leash and kept her on the leash so she wouldn't fall in the river. BTW, Whiskey was Kyras's best friend in the world, before he died. I ed Kyras the most of them all.
^Andy talks to Whiskey.
^This is Vector. He's six years-old. That's a great age for German Shepherd dogs. He's still healthy but he's smart and protective. He kept going back and forth between me and Andy to be sure we were both okay.

^We were working on getting Rogue into the river, trying to get him to chase a stick like Vector does. Vector is a water dog but Rogue is still a little afraid.
^Rogue is two years-old. He's still a little nerdy. Well, make that a lot nerdy. He's a tail chaser and it drives Andy crazy. Rogue still has growing up to do. After I walked around in the river, and walked on the island, he finally got brave and came in the water and followed me around.

^Here's me, Patty-Dog. Very happy to be there.

Patty, nice photos. We are leaving for a week up north to a fishing cabin we go to every year and I'd love to take our dog. They have a no-animal rule but since we've been going there for 25 or more years I think we might get them to reconsider. We are still unsure if we want to try it, given our spoiled dog would have to spend a bit of time by herself in a strange place. I know she would love the lake.
