Thelma had her teeth cleaned today. As it happened, she needed no extractions, so I'm guessing she will recover quickly. The price she quoted included extractions, so maybe we'll spend a few $$ less than planned.
For the cat owners. The vet read recently that dry food tends to linger on the teeth and most cats who eat dry food nibble on it often. Wet food does not do this. This is contrary to previous thinking where dry food was thought to help keep plaque off of the teeth. So we will leave less dry food in her bowl and give her more opportunity to eat canned food.
Patricia, glad you were able to get Zion into his carrier as planned. Let us know how he does with his "buddies" in CO.
Edit: We did spend less than originally quoted as no extractions were needed. Thelma is celebrating National Pet Day with clean teeth. She seems fine, already ate some soft food. Now to get some antibiotics into her......starting tomorrow. Got the liquid for that, and 2 pills for pain.
