So did you advise hotel manager of your "find"? I'll be honest, I'm not sure I'd want to stay in a room a pet stayed in previously, especially if I had allergies or something. No way they can clean the dander/fur off any bedding or furniture properly. And if I found dog poop in a room................................. If I wanted to sleep where a dog slept, I'd have a dog. How much are these rooms?
Lainey, the good thing is you pick a pet friendly room or a non-pet friendly room. That way you don't have to stay in a room that's had pets in it. They always put the pet friendly rooms on the first floor, at least in my experience. If I'm going by myself I never pick a pet friendly room. As a matter of fact I might pick a hotel that doesn't allow pets at all.
Without pulling up the exact day that I have, I'm thinking the rooms at the Best Western are about $70 a night including pet versus $130 a night or more probably including pet at the Comfort Inn. That isn't expensive but this is a stop over point for travelers. It's not a garden spot of America. I do believe it's a hot spot if you have off-road quads to go play in the mountains, though. They even have paths where you can ride your quads to get to the mountains and when I was riding my ElliptiGO I saw some driving on the quad friendly paths, like bike paths.

Thanks Patty, I've always enjoyed photos of dog poop.

Patty, I can safely assure that did not come from my dog.
I'm not aware of any hotel/motels that will allow dogs over 50 lbs to stay.
