What, no photo!? I would love those two breeds in one.

Been there done that. My brother's dog, Farrah was a shep/husky mix. She had one blue eye, one brown.
She used to love to slip out and go for a run.
4-5 hours later she'd come home tongue hanging out, absolutely covered in mud and hungry.
Of course she would have to have an immediate bath to get the mud out of her fur which was really thick.
We were always amazed that she could find mud in the middle of the winter.

We didn't have a big yard but he decided to fence in part of it so she could be outside.
He went to the hardware store and bought 3 ft fence. Good idea, poor execution.
After he put the fence up he was all happy thinking he was a good owner and brought her out and let her go.
She didn't break stride as she went over it.
Back to the hardware store for another roll of fence.
But the story is so much better with my brother's quote upon letting her go" Hah let's see you get over that B*tch "
She needed more vertical this time but not much. His facial expression was priceless.
Back to the hardware store for another roll which he cut in half for a total of 7 1/2 ft.
Repeat the above sequence but she fell just short of getting over. just 7 ft and she would have made it.

No, I should have asked. The owner had two little girls with him. I should have asked them to pose with the dog....Had I caught up with them again (we were walking on the bike path) I would have asked. It would have taken a bit of doing had I used the camera as I had the 100-400 on it.

My favorite feline is a Norwegian Forest Cat that is similar to the Maine Coon. Used to cat-sit for my neighbor's Norwegian Forest Cat that would bond with me overnight. I hated to give him back when they returned.

Today is the anniversary of the day we sprung Thelma from the shelter. Eight years already!

It is a pretty kitty, but not my photo. Found it online...It shows the variations of the ears and head shape between it and a Maine Coon.

Have a happy anniversary with Thelma.

Wesley, my traditional Siamese feline passed his yearly physical exam with flying colors. The Vet said he's good for at least 2-3 more years! He's now 16+ years in age and still active in his waking hours, however he does sleep a bit more in his recent years.
