Dufus was a kitten we found in our back yards a couple of months after buying the house. With just my wife and I there, this then little fur ball was a very welcome addition to our home.
One year later another stray litter happened into our back yard (we have a shed with a crawl space under it that animals seem to love.) By now Dufus was much larger and we thought she would like a feline friend, so we took Tigger in. Tigger must have a little dog in him he is so friendly.

Here's a pic of Lynx with my girl. Be careful with Maine Coon cats. If you let them sleep with you as kittens, you'll end up fighting them for a spot on the bed when they're older...and they have a habit of waking you up at sunrise with a not-so- gentle head butt to remind you it's feeding time. Lynx will hit your head so damn hard, it will wake you from a sound sleep and trust me, you want that option rather
than him climbing on your chest and purring in your face because it's like someone placing two bowling balls on you.
