Since Rick does most of the driving on our road trips, I get to check out the bill boards and fill him in.
Lots of lawyer (ambulance chasing ones) billboards in NJ, once we get further south, the religious folk rent the space.
This is what we have come to. A black billboard with just this on it: I got hurt in NJ.com

Then farther down south you have the South of the Border billboards.

When is the last time you have hand written a letter? I received a nice card with a letter from my Godmother for my Birthday so her birthday is this month so I did the same to her and it has been a long time. It’s probably good for the brain to actually do your own writing and spelling.

I have note cards made up with my photos so I always have cards on hand
When my sister was ill I sent a card of some kind to her every other week. She told me she appreciated the contact. All I could do for her is let her know she wad in my thoughts.
I'm sure your godmother appreciated your note.

I do the same as Lainey.
I also still send handwritten thank you notes to everyone who has given us gifts, even to our children and grandchildren. That was drilled into me at a very young age by my mother so I still do it.
I also send a card of some kind every few weeks to a friend of mine, be it a get well card, loss of her pet, or just “thinking of you.”
I have a love of nice notecards and pretty stamps and I have an abundant supply of both. I told my friend that she is the lucky recipient of my surplus. I know that she appreciates it.
My grandmother always sent me birthday cards in the mail with a handwritten note and often a pretty handkerchief. I still have many of those and treasure them.
I am sure that your handwritten note to your godmother meant a lot to her. A handwritten note is probably becoming a lost art.

The wife writes them, I approve them, and then sign them.
