We had friends who kept their house in mid 60's . We stopped visiting them in the winter. Just too uncomfortable.
I rarely set my thermostat above 68. I just run warm. In Colorado I set it at 58 at night. I'll set it to 64 when I get up. I'm not cold.

Hot stuff!!!
If you keep your house that cold, I guess I can't visit you in CO!

You'll be fine when it's not winter.

We have just had two new supermarket chains open stores nearby: Lidl and Aldi. Both are German based, and when we were visiting Bea's sister-in-law in Germany in the early 2000's, there was an Aldi across the street from her. One visit convinced me!
What I really like is that you have to provide your own grocery bag, or otherwise buy one of their's. Plus, the prices and international selections are great. We visited the Lidl yesterday, and I was impressed! Their stores here remind me very much of Germany, which is a plus for me.
Anyone else shopped them?

We shop at Aldi before Christmas every year. They have the German cookies and candies Patty’s family grew up with.

Aldi has several stores in the area, but none very close to me. As for Lidl, they have established their US corporate headquarters here in Arlington, but no stores that close to me yet. We do most of our shopping at the commissary on Ft Myer, so not in the local grocery stores a lot.

We have an Aldi. We've never been in it. Probably should cruse it once.

My wife's family immigrated from Russia and she buys dates by the bag full. But not at Aldi's or Lidl's. We don't have them around my house.
