It's 'Africa hot' today. I had a couple of quick things to do to the S and have been waiting for it to cool off but want to take it tonight so just got them done. Think I'll be staying in this afternoon.

Had to make a booze run to replenish supplies. $168 and I still didn't get everything I went for. That might seem like a lot to some but its easy to rationize ... one night in a motel.

My pc monitor came and I had to assemble it. At first I was like WHAT! 5 different cords, large curved base, large pole stand to raise, lower, tilt, power brick, cord holder for the post, and finally the 27" ultra high definition 4K display screen. I paid very close attention to the picture instructions and it came out great.

People who live in the south have sometimes told me "We hide in the AC in the summer, and you hide in the heat in the winter." It's been so hot, I've done too much hiding. It's sunny, it's summer, we want to be out and about, but it's just too damn hot! I feel like a little trapped chipmunk. I'm hiding in the house now and in four months, I might be hiding again.

Hoping for a break in the heat by weekend. I could never ever live down south. The older I get, the less heat I tolerate. Remind me I said this when I start complaining about winter temps.

Meanwhile, I put my bird feeders back out, hoping the finch that had the eye issue has moved on, or recovered. The gold finch and chickadees have showed up already. The hummingbirds are busy fighting each other off at the feeders and working around the bees to get food. I was hanging around the feeders hoping for a photo op, but none of the hummers cooperated.

Tomorrow will be the perfect day - mid 70s, no humidity, sunny.

We never stop feeding the birds. Non-stop today. I don't like seeing the crows and cackles but I do enjoy the woodpeckers showing them who has a longer beck and fighting them off. Saw a grosbeak today; been a while. Still non-stop finches, blue jays, cardinals, and all the other small songbirds and wide variety of woodpeckers.

Weatherman on TV this morning said Napa would be 78 today. Just looked- it's 90. Normal people would lose their jobs being wrong that often and that much. Not weatherpeople.

50% That's not bad. If he was a baseball player he would be a hero!

That weather will be here tomorrow afternoon!

I put one of my feeders out this weekend and a raccoon destroyed a planter getting to the feeder.

Dean, you are in a microclimate. they can't be right for everyone.

Oh Dave I wish I could make a booze run for $168. That hardly covers one bottle or not at all.
Of course, last year was unusual, I bought two bottles.
I could never be an alcoholic, I don't have enough money.

Jerry, they give the forecast for my city. Not the entire Bay Area. That’s very specific. And they are very wrong.
