I used to like having the real books around too. There was a used book store that sold most books at 1/2 price, gave you a credit on the books your traded in. I'd wander around grab some books, read a few pages to see if I liked the way they "flowed." The books store closed and I got a kindle.
I like typical stuff, crime, mysteries, health related fiction (like the one where the hospital was bumping off sick HMO patients) "Natural Causes" I think the name was.
I'll read the "fluff stuff" now and again, but books with totally predictable endings aren't my thing.

Robb,
That was right on the Fairhaven Bridge, I think. There is still some type of book store/news paper store there.

Set up my Kindle Fire tablet last night. I think I will like having one of those around. Loaded a few aps, figured out how to get Google and google play aps on there too. Will mess around with it over the weekend.

We had dinner at Ichiban, a Japanese sushi bar, last night. I had my usual favorite - shrimp & scallop hibachi with fried rice. The meal as always was excellent but we don't go there with the idea of bringing anything home so I like to take my time and enjoy it, even if a double Beam is $14. But you can't do that when the other dozen people around the grill shovel it down and go home with left overs. To me its like an expensive McDonalds fast food experience. Thankfully we stopped at a local pub after, meet some old friends and new friends, and really enjoyed the rest of the evening at a quarter of the price.

Went to a British Car club Xmas party last night and learned one of the members moved all his cars and inventory from his personal museum up to northern Michigan to a building twice as big. He sold his property to a neighbor who tore everything out to make it into a horse barn! The museum he had here had indoor paved sidewalks with english style pole lights in front of store fronts, at least 4 car lifts, and 40 or more British cars. This photo will give you an small idea of what it was like. They said it took 2 months to move everything using fork lifts, etc. BTW, he was a first year S2000 owner but hardly ever used it and sold it.

So will he set up another museum? Or is he looking to sell off/out his stuff? Looks like a cool place he had there!
