Had a fun afternoon. Met with our best friends on a beautiful day (after 10 straight hot, humid, thunderstorm days). She was 3 weeks out from major emergency surgery and ready for some drinks and laughs.

Nice it's feels good to be back to normal. Weather isn't cooperating here but making the best of it. Had to run a couple of errands today took the S put about 100 miles on it. I still really enjoy driving it.

Had a hair appointment this week. Exciting, right? I headed over there yesterday afternoon. Hairdresser not there, husband was. Hmmm...After brief conversation with him I checked the calendar on my phone. My appointment was for today, not yesterday. I wrote the wrong day on my calendar. In my defense, I usually have appointments on Wednesday.
Rain coming in from the storm down south overnight and tomorrow. Not feeling my usual class at the Y. It's been so humid in the gym. I may opt for the other Y and a class that won't make me feel like I'm going to melt.
Sister from SC, her husband and my late sister's husband will be arriving in our area on Monday. The festivities, eating out, drinking and spending time together will begin on Tuesday. I'm feeling just a tad off with this upcoming visit. I think it's due to the fact that in 2019, two of my SC sisters were supposed to be in MA. Only one, Rachel, was able to make the trip. Chris had to cancel due to work. Now two years later, Chris has retired and she is making the trip. Rachel is gone. I haven't seen Chris since Rachel's memorial service. I see a few happening next week. We won't be morbid however. That would totally not be what Rachel wanted.

Sorry about the heart ache.

Had some fun teasing my wife about my next purchase
https://www.ebay.com/itm/20351564494...AAAOSw8zZg47Cl
I could play with it in the backyard woods.
Costco or BJ's run, no problem.
18 inches of snow, excuse me coming through.
flooded intersection? here let me hep you out.
I would be great for launching or hauling out boats.
Pretty sure it wouldn't fit in the garage.

I know several of you owned an MGB in your younger days. This was posted recently. I don't recall the ad but found it interesting and the story behind it.
By the early 1970s, the MGB had turned 10 years old and that ’60s freshness was starting to look a little too familiar. British Leyland’s accountants had also begun to make their presence known by 1973 as the B’s shapely leather seats, smart chrome grille, and classic wire wheels were replaced with cheaper items, chipping away some of the car’s charm.
MG’s adverts took a different tone too. Gone was the respectable and upright “Safety Fast” slogan and in came something far more risqué. “Your mother wouldn’t like it” appeared on a series of MGB ads and it became a bit of a catchphrase. BL returned to the questionably sexist approach a few years; to market the rubber-bumper B it used the line: “Some day you’ll settle down with a nice, sensible girl, a nice, sensible house and a nice, sensible family saloon—some day.”
