Deb, the conversion was from coal to oil. The are still considered steam engines.

I wish I could have rode the train before they converted the engines. Coal has such a better smell then oil but I understand why they converted.

I rode it in 2016 and there was an attendent on each coach constantly sweeping out the ash as it fell. That's the downside of burning coal.

I only have flown gliders. Go-around is NOT an option....

Go arounds can also happen if the pilot has not stabilized the approach and realizes that it's much better to try it again. Been there, done that!

And in a bit of irony it has just started to sprinkle.
If you see him again, you might want to wave him down. Maybe he's ready to sell and you could get a commission.

Maybe he is ready to sell it and Dave could buy it back!

I'd love to buy it back, if just for a couple track days. I love it! But realizing Donna's back could not deal with it - legs going numb - a pretty good signal that it may not be the best car for us. So, it had to go.

Hmm. Doesn't your lovely bride have a horse that you don't ride?

And after putting one down last year, she is fighting with how to deal with the last one - keep riding or retire? Non-stop-issues . . . day-to-day . . . TBD. My advice, if you or someone you love, loves horses, steer them into a new hobby.

Right. Just like her trying to steer you away from your love of certain cars.
