Update: We thankfully ran into friends at a club we stopped at (we passed up three good bars because everyone in MI has been turned loose. There was lines outside). And then we went to an old standby bar later for dinner. All good. We are now home (OMG its 9:30 on a Friday . . . that's when we use to leave to go out). We are checking with neighbors (way younger but have no life) about playing cards (OMG are we getting old).

To change all this boredom I was thinking of checking on nudist beaches when we go north but then I walked by a mirror.

Enjoy your time with old boss!

Nothing fancy. Whirlpool gas, five burner, self cleaning oven. White. I'm a plain Jane when it comes to appliances. No need for bells and whistles.

Sadly a good friend succumbed to anorexia a couple of days ago. It's been a long, sad process watching her wither away over the past few years but despite the best efforts of all involved her body couldn't take it any more. The most heartbreaking aspect is she leaves behind a 14 year old son who has minor special needs and is a very sensitive boy who was subjected to bullying at his previous school. His father works overseas in a third world country for months at a time and is unable to get back into NZ due to the current quarantine waiting list. There is a lot of help from his grandparents and extended family but my heart goes out to him, he is a good friend to my own son and a fantastic kid, I hope he can find some resolution in knowing his mother's pain is over and those around him can provide the love and support he needs.

That is very sad. I know of people who have suffered with eating disorders. It's a real battle. Sorry to hear your friend didn't win that battle.

I'm a bit in the bored category myself. It's 80+ degrees. I don't like those temps. I did go to class at the Y and the scheduled AM gathering of the ladies after class turned into a bit of a bust. I took the time to bring some clothes to freshen up after class and wait for their class to be over. As it happened, two couldn't stay, plans had changed. Another did meet me but something she ate didn't agree so she wasn't interested in eating lunch. I grabbed a sandwich at a local baker and it was just OK. Annoyed they didn't have any diet Soda. I don't go to the Y to drink a root beer with 300 calories. I'm not a fan of water with food. So I bought a root beer, drank half. I was thirsty! Skipped eating most of the bread on my sandwich but I bought a couple macaroon cookies too. A little counterproductive indeed. We went in a couple of shops but neither of us was feeling it....So we both headed home.

Just grabbed my second shower of the day to get rid of that sticky humid feeling. Rick is puttering in the yard, maybe I'll go out for a bit with my camera once it cools off. Maybe a top down ride after dinner?

Guess I should sign off here before I bore the rest of you.....
