Thanks...I am not out and about downtown, fortunately. Very glad the +1 was not out running down that way yesterday. He frequently is.

Got a gift card or two lying around that you forgot about or don't plan to use? Then check out this website about how you can either cash it in (discounted) or get an alternate card that you can use. I found a Lowes card that I had forgotten about and don't plan to use and was able to exchange it for an Amazon e-card that I will use. :

I just had a friend ask me to buy a gift card for her. You see, she's traveling to the Elizabeth Islands, forgot her cell phone at home, but wanted to send a friend with cancer a gift card. So she emailed me and asked me to buy one, then send her the numbers on the back of it. Isn't that nice of her? I thought so, so I told her I would be happy to, if, when she gets home, she would come over and perform a sex act .......(no more details). Funny, I never heard back from her.

I love to screw with these a--h---- that steal your passwords and your email accounts.

My sister kept giving me gift cards to Pier One Imports. I had to force myself to go there to spend it and even then, wasn't thrilled with anything in the store. I had one in the past year that I took to the local Pier One but they were going out of business and wouldn't except it. They still didn't have anything I wanted. I like it much better when she gives me Starbucks gift cards. Those will be used.

Just read the comments on that page, and someone posted that the Cardpool website was shutting down. I used CardCash with no problem. A word to the wise.
AARP article.
