Fun afternoon with our grandson (his 14th birthday is tomorrow) and his cousin. I picked them up, they played a quick game of pool, and we fed them lunch. Grandson loves burgers by Rick. Brought them to a park where they could kick a soccer ball around. Mode of transportation this afternoon - one S2000 one Porsche Boxster. They got a ride in each vehicle and got to experience a little burst of energy with Rick at the wheel. Do as we say, not as we do. A stop for ice cream, then dropped them at home for a swim in the pool. How can he be 14???

^ Nice. When I turned 14 I think I had to cut the grass before we could have cake in front of the radio.

That was how m y kids learned to drive. when they were in their early 'tweens. 9 and 11 I took them for a school at F1Boston.
same sort of deal, although gas engine at the time. I see a ton of them now
https://www.k1speed.com/boston-location.html which is electric.
The kids got a 4 day driving school. they went from do we have to go? OK only two days, alright we'll come back to are we coming back tomorrow?
on the last day they opened opened up and connected both tracks. it was funny to watch them throwing carts into the corners sideways.

My son turns 14 in November, we've started looking around for a low-priced (sub-$6K) RWD manual car for him to learn/hit things in, there's a depressingly small range of options here in NZ. I know you guys would have your pick of things like Mustangs but over here the options are basically BMW E36/E46, Toyota Altezza or the very worst condition Infiniti G35s, all with well over 120K miles on them and no history. No karting tracks handy here so we'll sign up with the local motorsport club and start out with autocross and hill climbs.

If he's lucky I might let him drive it too.
