Thanks Lainey I'll have to send that to my Dad. Marion is where the estate was my Dad used to take care of down on Converse Point.
I went to a car meet this morning and one of my friends has a Boxster like yours and I asked him about problems with gear linkages and he said he hadn't experienced any. He mentioned that most of the problem areas on the Boxster he had found had been with the cooling system. He said he had to replace the overflow tank and also the water pump, the radiator cap I forgot why, and I know he had the ims bearing done. Our other friend who is a hard core Porsche guy said a lot of these things need replacement due to everything being made of plastic.

The cables are on order. Thankfully we don't have other issues yet..... What year is his car? Ours is 2012. I know earlier models had more/different issues.

My day started with tears talking to my sister, a nap, a measly 6 mile ride and now, outside with the cats. It's windy from all directions and about 72 F. I hear birds, crickets, the shots of a gun and a lawnmower. I'm trying to keep my spirits up but I haven't today. Maybe I should just bust out and cry and get over it. That has helped in other situations. It's absolutely gorgeous here so I definitely keep that in mind all the time.

Hey, Rob. Couldn't find a link in any of your posts but that may be just me. I did find this facebook page but no pics from 2020 like you described.

You're a good guy. I know this hits us all in different ways. I am lucky in a way that I don't work but that's also a good distraction, right?

Yeah, it is nicer when you have control over when you are isolated from people and when you are not. That goes for those living alone and those who are living with someone/people they would like to be away from, at least briefly.
