Boat shrink in the water! I know some of the boats that used to be stored at my former place of employment looked huge. Once launched, they didn't look so big!

Legal Barbara has commented on the cost per pound of the fish Bill catches with his boats.

I think some of our the vegetables and flowers grown in our yard aren't really a bargain. But sometimes, it's not about the money!

Don't want to own a sailboat. Just want to crew on someone else's sailboat.

I'm starting to think that there was a neighborhood meeting and I missed it. I'm thinking maybe everyone is going to knock down their trees and we are going to make a gigantic field. I went around the corner today and there is a huge dump truck full of trees that my neighbor just had cut down. I guess it must be the in thing to do.

They'll be sorry! Most properties are worth more with trees unless it was very overgrown.

I agree. It's Vermont you are supposed to have a lot of trees on your property i.e. this is the country. The house where they started taking the trees down today has a weird setup. It had no backyard at all and the front of the house sits right by the road and it sold relatively cheaply because of the way the yard or lack of is. I noticed last year the new people were sitting out front in the summertime but I'm sure it wasn't that great trying to have a barbecue right by the road in basically what is your driveway. I'm assuming they are clearing out the back so that they can have a useable backyard. I would think it would of been cheaper to buy a house with a backyard in the first place. This isn't an operation with one guy with a chainsaw and a pickup they have two excavators and two semi-sized dump trucks and a couple of pickups and about 8 guys working.I'm sure it is not cheap.

I got my first sunburn of the year today driving with the top down. I didn't wear a cap the entire time and didn't think of suntan lotion.

Robb, interesting article about an area not far from us. I know you and your Dad know this area and the "Hiller Yellow" buildings.
