My son installed a hotted up SR20DET in a Nissan 240SX a few years ago. This turbocharged engine makes just over 200 lb-ft of torque in its stock form in Japan. Rob's dynoed at over 300 at the wheels. During a quarter mile run he managed to twist the body enough to crack the windshield.

On second thought, this is probably not relevant to the S2000. (which a lot stiffer than the old Nissan coupes were, and isn't exactly a torque monster.)

I seldom see an S2000, so it neat to see a light blue one on Territorial Rd north of Chelsea today. We were in the MG and talking to the owner of the Inverness Inn in the parking lot. Its a bar we often stop at that started out as a trading post in 1907.

Robb,
While the windshield is out look for a rust bubble under the glass at the crack location.
I've seen it happen on two different vehicles.
Have a grinder handy.

Mike I remember a kid in my neighborhood put a beefed up 350 in his Chevy Monza. My friend who is the kind of guy you want to listen to when it comes to cars told him go easy on the test drive. The kid gets it running takes it out in front of his house does a clutch dump and blows the windows out.
I put my Rockford sport coat on and did some more investigating and found a small white spot at the bottom of the crack, like they say there is always a reason.

The owner is an auto mechanic by trade and was drawn by the Inn's history and a fear someone would tear down the old landmark. He bought it 15 years ago and his daughter now manages it. It has had extensions done, such as a log cabin was added in the 1920s and a dining room added in 1970s. I like to give my business to places like this over the glitzy new bars.

So the owner is accepting potions? Or wants to employ anyone who brings a potion? Potion for what? Covid? Or...

PS: Just when I think I am over my infatuation with the MG-A, I see a pic of Dave's and fall in love all over again. I need a potion myself.

I didn't even notice the misspelling in the sign I wouldn't make a good detective,I'm watching barnaby jones maybe I'll learn something about detectiving.
I agree on MGA' s always liked them. There is a silver coupe that attends a cars n coffee I go to and it is just stunning love the design.
