I watched it for about 15 minutes. It was a pretty good 15 minutes. Sharks falling from the sky (and sometimes being shot out of the air by a feisty lead female character), waves of storm water and sharks washing into an underpass and consuming humans, personal relationship stuff. It was almost--but not quite--so bad it was good. Not quite.

There's too much other good stuff to do. I don't like wasting time with movies this bad. I'd have to awfully bored to want to sit through more than 5 minutes of something like that.

Some of you will be very disappointed to know that Tara Reid has not been asked back for the sequel.

I believe that she meant to type that "He could NOT bear to watch".

I hope the special effects in the sequel are better. It's not that I don't like latex sharks, it's just that with modern techniques and computer aided animation I thought they'd look more like real sharks.

I just read that the sequel is going to be called "Sharknado 2" and it takes place in New York City, Manhattan to be exact. I think I liked it better when the silliness was somewhere else.

I have to agree. The creators of Jersey Shore are filming in the fishing village a couple/miles from us. They collected a group of miscreants from several states in the south, put them in a rental in the area and turned them loose on the community. Some of the residents in the village have gone to the County Council to try to get it stopped. It won't get stopped and more mindless stupid "reality tv" will hit the airwaves. At least Sharknado is just fantasy.

I got it !!!!! "Sharknado Shores "
The basic story line is the jersey shore gang goes out on a raft in shark infested waters to avoid a tornado.

and make it a true reality show.... WIN WIN as far as I can see.
