Philly and Baltimore are your best bets (unless you can get something cheap to Newark).
Philly to Cape May is ~1-1 1/2 hrs. not real far. Baltimore is an option, but it will take a bit longer (but if the fare is good.)

We are interested but are concerned about the clearance issue for our cars.
