Hey everyone, remember me??? I was in Cape May last weekend, actually we stayed in Stone Harbor a little north of there but I took the ferry ride over and found it to be very relaxing (except for the high winds last Wednesday that made the boat rock) but other than that... it's better than driving around.

I hope yall have a wonderful time. Cape May is very quaint, Jerry will love the architecture!! I wish my weekends could have overlapped so I could have seen everyone.

Enjoy

PS - Hey Wingnut I set my GPS to Cape May and it found Lewes just fine.

Hi, Beth!

I remember you! Sorry your trip didn't overlap our SF weekend. It would have been great to see you again.

(Thanks for helping Wingy find his way to the ferry, BTW!)

I'm looking forward to herding our Vintage crowd across the bay on the ferry!

How's the architecture business in Richmond?

Don't be a stranger...

Last I heard, you now design for the fellow that built my house...right Beth? Eric passed that along to me a couple months back when he bumped into me at a local Sheetz.

How about that corner??!!

You are correct Wingy, I do design for Eric now, if our design paths had crossed sooner and I could have worked on your plan with you and your better half

I'm sorry I couldn't join you as well, but did anyone look at the calendar when they planned this trip??? It's Mother's day ya know......... so I need to do the Mom thing....

The following weekend I'm heading to New York so 3 weekends in a row to be out of town.... is a bit much. But I would enjoy seeing you again Gene along with everyone else I haven't seen in awhile.

And yes, keeping Wingnut in check is a full time job....

Loved the Inn on Canal. The trip up was beautiful, Gene. We took 301 as you recommended so no nasty interstates or beltways, etc. It seemed that we passed through each area AFTER rain showers/storms, etc., so we had a very nice drive. Drive time to Lewes was about 6 and a half hours. We've enjoyed our brief but lovely stay in Lewes.

Beth.

Options for Cape May were limited time wise. We were all aware of the Mother's Day time frame when we signed up. It was the only available weekend.

I don't need to see Mom "on the day" as I see her often, nor do I expect my son to make a special trip to see me, just because it's Mother's Day, but that's just me.

I was on the SF list and sooooooooo looking forward to SF, but we had to cancel. A shoulder issue has sidelined me, and I'm having surgery Monday.

Looks like decent weather in Cape May. I hope it holds up and everyone has a blast!

Enjoy the ferry ride, folks!
