I watched the first one and cried hard. My first German Shepherd, Kyras, was so wonderful, loving, protective, fun and connected to me I will never stop missing him. He is one reason I look forward to the other side, aka dying here in body from. I'll watch the second video later. Thank you, Joey

Ah the Kyras name was your Shepherd , very cool. All of our dogs were Shepherds , losing a dog was very painful growing up as I was younger at the time. I think transitioning to cats was a bit easier after losing so many dogs and I didn't want to go through the pain of losing more dogs.

My excuse for not getting another sheppy (we had four: Kyras, Whiskey, Vector and Rogue) is that I don't have a fenced yard. Obviously I could easily get a fence put in. My second excuse is that I go to California too often for having someone come take care of my dog each time. When I leave I have four cats to take care of and it's been easy because they don't need to go in and out and they don't need to be fed morning and night like my dogs did. I just free feed my cats and they're fine. My next door neighbor takes care of them, every other day, and they keep each other company and sleep a lot. I have a catio with access via an open window, that I leave open in decent weather so they can go inside and out and not be at risk. But the truth is, my heart hurt so badly when Kyras died (December 1999) and I don't want to feel that again. I've had cats die, like my favorite ever, so far, Zoro - a Siamese (2009?) and I cried my eyes out losing him, but cats don't connect as deeply, in my experience. Their faces don't show as much emotion and they are more independent, than dogs. I look so forward to seeing Zoro, too. Kyras and Zoro were friends.

And I agree. Cat videos are charming. But they have their place, and that place is Facebook.

I fixed it. For some reason you guys aren't allowed to edit (fix) your own titles, Mods only. Stupid rule is stupid.
