S2000 Recall for Brake Issues
FYI - Honda is issuing a recall for 2006/07 S2000s for brake issues. Virginija just heard something about it on the news and IM'ed me.

Thanks for that heads up! I'll see if I get the notice in mid July as indicated.

Made a copy of the recall notice. Thanks for the link.

Well, it does say no new recalls, but it also says that it will be mid July before the notices go out on the brake one. So I think you need to wait until then and check back.

I was thinking about that too. Mine says it's not part of the recall, but I will check back in July just to be sure.

Got a copy of the TSB from my dealer. May be of help to some of you.
SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: 13-050 dated June 15, 2013
It does not list VINs but says "Do an iN VIN status inquiry to make sure the vehicle is shown as eligible".
Process is like this.
- They inspect the booster using a gauge
- Replace booster if movement is outside range
Diagnosis (inspection):
- Start engine and let reach operating temp, switch off
- Press brake pedal 10 times so there is no vaccum left and pedal is hard
- Attach dial gauge indicator to strut tower mount so dial indicator tip touches the master cylinder. Push in dial indicator 3mm and set. Once set, Zero the gauge.
- Start engine and measure distance master cylinder moved towards the firewall/passenger compartment. If less than 0.75mm, vehicle is OK. If more than 0.75mm perform repair.
Repair:
- Follow steps to replace brake booster with new brake booster, new rod seal and gasket
- Process also includes adjusting the brake pedal and brake pedal position switch adjustment
- Last step is to bleed the brakes.
If you are taking your car in, best to carry your brake fluid of choice in case you need repair following diagnosis.
