Take a good look at your front bumper. They all tend to get chiped. You might want to have it removed and resprayed so it still looks good 10 years from now. I find it is difficult for body shops to match the color after the cars get older, so I'm probably going to have mine painted this year.

I just turned 60K on my 2003. Fortunately, the local S2000 gang are an ambitious group. Every year before drive season begins, we GTG and change the engine oil, Transmission, dif fluid. This year we're going to flush/refill the clutch and brake system. I have a K&N filter that I installed several year's ago, I clean and recoat every year. I put in headrest speakers last year and at the same time tightened the 12v outlet. I never knew how easy it was to do or I would have done it before.

By the way, I would also be interested to know what it cost you for the "once over" that you described above.

Once over list and prices...in some cases, price can be reduced for certain combined services.
Just subtract out what you don't need, or what you think has been done. If you are not sure, we can PM it out or we'll consult when you come out for service and I'll give you the recommendations. Once I have a final list I can look for combination discounts.
$165 Custom Valve adjustment, retainer inspection & spark plug torque check (recommended after 10k, good for 75k)
$35 Air filter installed (15k)
$35 cabin filter installed (15k)
$70 oil change Mobil1 & PCX filter (5k)
$45 dif fluid change with Mobil1 (first service 4k, then 35k intervals)
$45 Trans fluid change with New Green Label Honda MTF (first 8k, then 35k)
$30 clutch fluid change, clutch & throttle adj (first 4k, then 10k)
$95 coolant flush with Honda Type II Blue (4 years, usually not needed)
$30 axle nut tsb (one time, covers all years) 35 if wheels need to be removed (small amount of aftermarket wheels only)
$40 Billman's custom theft proof seat locks installed
$20 remove IAC valve and clean/free up rotary shaft, helps dipping idle
$20 repair loose 12v outlet in center console, adjust parking brake while apart
$45+ bulbs: remove dashboard and replace burnt bulbs
$15 hood cowl weatherstrip installed (commonly torn/damaged)
$20 oem wiper inserts installed
$95 four new oem spark plugs installed (Honda/NGK originals, not the online ones) not needed till 85,000 miles (75 if done with valve adjustment)
$95 four wheel brake fluid flush with ATE Super Blue Race/Street brake fluid
$75 serpentine belt installed
$75 Billman's modified soft top or hardtop latches. Eliminates rattles, loose latches, and wind noise
$15 Tire-saver toe-in adjustment, no alignment needed
$140 Billman's modified timing chain tensioner (TCT) installed, lifetime guarantee (120 when done with valve adjustment)
$475 Replace broken retainers with AP2 retainers and keepers. Custom Valve Adjustment and parts are included with this service. As of now, about 10% of 2000-2003 S2000s will have this problem.

I'm at about 80k miles on my '00. I bought it used in November, 2001, with about 3k miles on it.

I replaced the clutch disk at about 35k miles: the infernal "clutch buzz" noise was unbearable. I got tired of people asking, "What's wrong with your car." You shouldn't have that problem with your newer car.

I replaced the driver's side rear wheel bearing a few years ago: it went bad, likely due the the axle nut tsb issue. I was lucky and caught it before it ruined the hub, so the cost was for the bearing only.

I will have to replace the top soon: the plastic backlight has a small crack, and the vinyl top is worn smooth in places from folding/unfolding.

I paid someone to replace a front fender and do some painting after I got careless pulling the car out of the garage. My own stupidity...

Other than these items, I've just done the recommended routine maintenance. I tracked the car 2 or 3 times, with the only noticeable wear being on the tires.

11 years 45K miles
service...
normal fluid services. probably due for a cooling and brake fluid flush.
the only repairs to date.
replaced stock shocks with bilstiens as 3 of 4 were leaking.
Battery last year.
the only other repair was to re-attach the antenna for the remotes
it is probably time for a valve adjustment.

my only concern looking down the road, is how long will Honda keep OEM parts available?

as Matt highlighted, there are times that the OEM parts are simply the correct choice. no muss, no fuss

I'm figuring a visit to Billman250 will cost between $1k and $2k....what do you think?

Thanks for the reminder on this item, Bill. The shop near Gettysburg that worked on my '68 Dodge did a good job on repainting. I'm thinking of getting them to re-spray the front bumper, which has some chips, paint crazing in a few places....guessing it may only cost 250 based on other "menu" items quoted last year while discussing the Dart work.
