Drive safe. Have fun. And so you're not disappointed, the steakhouse in Amarillo is terrible. Worst steaks we've ever had, thin, tough and chewy.

We did almost the same trip last year, but we stayed off the freeways and found all kinds of 4 lane road with no traffic, no trucks and great scenery.

Great itinerary, Vyk! Enjoy a beautiful ride! Pics, ok? Why not make a slide show with trip commentary for submission to the home Page editors?

To get from Sedona to Snowflake, are you taking 260 across from Camp Verde? We just had some snow last weekend, actually quite a bit for AZ at this time of year. There was quite a bit of snow on the rim, however we are getting a warmup this week (supposed to be back up in around 90 here in Phoenix), so the snow on the rim will probably be gone by the time you get here.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I have eat there several times over the years and my food has been good.
