RIP to my Wife
My wife, Cindy passed away last friday after a 10 year battle with cancer. She was active till the last few weeks, we got home from Hawaii in June and we took some short trips of 2 to 5 days driving in the S up and down the west coast. She was the best thing that ever happened to me and will be sorely missed after 46 years of marriage.
I don't know what I'm going to do with her S, hell I might sell the Jeep and keep the S for short trips in the western states. Or sell both and put my Goldwing back on the road. I just need time to sort all of the other things I have to do first.

So sad. Way too young. Sounds like she was a special person battling it out to the end.

Thank you,
I knew this day was coming back in early 2015, that's the day we were told we might want to celebrate christmas early.
Cindy had a stem cell transplant that gave her(and me) 9 1/2 years to see a lot of the country in the S. We put 200k miles in the S (mostly with the top down) in 42 or 43 states and 6 provinces of Canada. We went coast to coast 4 times all on the old highways or county roads. Our S has been to the lowest road and the highest paved road in the USA. We drove to Truckee,CA with the top down in -7 deg F and then around all of Lake Tahoe, yes we got lots of looks with people honking their horns and giving us two thumbs up.
She loved her S from the day she bought it back in 2010. I took it out for a spin today, had to go to the bank and store and just being in the S was kind of like therapy to me. I got out of it feeling better than I did when I got in it.
Again thank you for all your kind words,
Rod

It is somewhat comforting to know you and she spent all those good times traveling in the S. My sincere condolences. I hope you keep the car for awhile at least. It is always great therapy to drive it!
