RIP Michael Jackson

The latest just reported on CNN and this is sad for his family. Is his niece, Marlons daughter saw the news on TV that he had passed. She asked her dad who called Michaels manager and had it confirmed from him.
I dont know about any of you but I wouldnt want to hear of my Siblings death on CNN and from a child of mine if i had one before I heard about it as a family member.
The internet and speed of the media today has certainly changed everything in the way news is reported.

This is a shocking moment in American music history. Just as was when Elvis and John Lennon passed away.

^ as said above everyone will have there opinion and all are certainly welcomed. But turn on your TV every news station, and than some are currently playing and covering nothing but this story along with the internet exploding and some sites going down with this story. Combine that with he holds the guiness world record as most successful entertainer and add in that the album thriller is the highest selling album of all time. Look at tomorrows major heck look at all newspaper headlines. And remember this is on a day where the world also lost farrah.
I think you have the real answer.
As a sidenote, Im actually suprised at the celebrity tributes to him. Not one person from cher to celine dion to aaron neville to larry king to quincy jones to madonna to anderson cooper to usher well you get the idea etc has spoken one bad word about him.
I think a lot of people are just a little jaded. Especially the crowd. But than again they were never fans to start. To most I when elvis died the music died.
But thats to be expected.

Upon further thought, I think everyone knows the news by now. And out of respect for everyones opinions. I think it is best to close this thread now.
The subject is unsettling for some and emotional for others.
with that said RIP MJ
