RIP Bill Paxton
Prolific actor and director Bill Paxton died at the age of 61 due to complications from surgery. He has long been one of my favorite actors. Of course I especially enjoyed his portrayal of astronaut and Biloxi, MS native Fred Haise in Apollo 13.
"Gone too soon" as they say. His passing should be a reminder to all of us to treasure every day.

I always liked Paxton. Played his roles with that common man touch. Died way too early.

Way too young. I've recently heard of a friend of a friend who passed after rotator cuff surgery. Blood clots after surgery = BAD news.

Also a reminder that all surgery, no matter how seemingly minor, involves some level of risk.

I think I read he had rheumatic fever as a child which caused his heart damage. He was apprehensive about the surgery. Very sad...I really liked him.
