My wife has just completed painting our kitchen island. My wife loves blue cabinets which we did at our last home, so she has been working to paint some of the ones at our new home. The island was an aged tinge of white, so it cleaned up well with the new colour.

We also painted our garage door this week to match our front door, it is a very light tinge of blue.

Patricia, I can't believe you have before and after pictures. Ok, now I see why you did it. Good move.

Our whole condo building is being renovated. Large project that will take a few years. Starting with carpet and apt door paint. Later will come the mail rooms, lobby area and other things. Here are before and after pics of the hall carpet. And before pic of the door. Our door is being painted today. It will be a darker blue. Carpet to follow. They are working from the top floor down.

^ That is very interesting carpet work, kind of busy looking to me, but new is always better I guess. I rather like the first carpeting pics, but one thing I have learned over the years is not to ask what someone thinks of any decorating scheme as you will never get similar opinions. lol.

Yes, it is a bit modern for me, but probably more in tune with today’s tastes. And most likely will wear much better than the old. Guy just finished painting my door, so will post a pic after it dries.

Deb, has the carpet designer considered anti-psychotics?

We had a design committee which made recommendations to the board. So…the owners voted on some things, like the overall color scheme being blue. Not my choice.

I love it when they do it like that, so when all of the complainers feel like giving me their opinions I just refer them to others who were involved in the decisions, decorating projects are the hardest to do simply due to the personalities that get involved. Everyone wants the common areas to reflect how their own units are decorated inside but of course that can't ever happen. Lots of fun.

Yeah, when a dog drags its itchy butt down the hallway no one will ever notice.
