Thanks, Patty. I need help with the finishing touches. How about flying east and going shopping with me?

Um, no?

I think you do a great job all by yourself, Lainey.

Thanks, Patty. I think the sister above me does a much better job than I pulling everything together. She is the creative one in the family.

Resurrecting this one from the dead. Anyone renovating at the moment or with plans? Or something you've done since the last post here in 2008? I have an upstairs neighbor who wants to come down and see the guest bath. She's getting ready to renovate hers and says she has no creativity. Perhaps I can help.

Here are my old ones...nothing really left to do on the place now. Maybe I'll think of something, like a new paint color for the walls, or new carpet in some places.

Just looked through those threads. Hadn't seen the before/after pics in awhile. Mainly, I'm glad I don't have to do all that again. Whew...

What a blast from the past.

I built a courtyard in back of the house, had all the windows replaced, redid the walls, floors, and ceilings in several more rooms, repainted all the bright red, green, and yellow rooms with more muted colors, had Sola Tubes installed, had the exterior of the house painted, had the siding replaced and painted, had the patio deck painted, had a new shed built for the well. I installed an archway in the hallway and converted the front "office" into a dining room, and now I'm working on landscaping and planting hedges around the front of the house.

Oh, almost forgot - I replaced the wife with a more trustworthy model.

Extreme home improvement!

We've got no projects ongoing. It's almost time to repaint the bathroom. The paint did not adhere well to some of the window caulking and that drives me nuts. The driveway could use a resurfacing but that's not very exciting. I finally ordered the new couch and love seat and need some accessories to pull things together, again not very exciting.

I'll be content with watching the grass turn green and watching Rick's flowers grow over the next several months. Just want to stop and smell the roses for a while.

That reminds me - once the weather gets too hot to work outside, I'm going start on completely redoing our master bath. I'm planning on doing it with architectural glass block. I'm also having the driveway resurfaced this summer. And I'm hiring someone to install windows in the garage door.

I think that takes care of my to-do list, other than planting a few trees and plants here and there. I doubt that I'll be keeping the house for more than a couple of years. I'll probably be moving into our other house, which is new and won't require any work or much in the way of maintenance.

^ Why don't you take some pics of your redone house and post them?
