This story could still have a Happy Ending. I had a meeting today in our kitchen with the local Store Manager of Home Depot, Zone Manager of Home Depot, and the General Manager of Silestone Systems (the fabricator).

It sounds like we can have any replacement we want - Silestone recut in any color of our choice and without a second seam; or Granite in any color via a different company. Everyone seems to be acknowledgeing there was several balls dropped in the project. I think my wife may be still leaning towards Silestone, which would make HD happy since they wouldn't have to bring in another company.

At this point I plan to leave the decision up to my honey! But, if she asks I think I'd prefer Granite, except we don't have any granite warehouses near by. I'd have to drive to Tornoto, some 300+ miles away. My wife could never make that long of trip until her back problem clears up; so that kills that idea.

Glad to hear it, Dave.

And for making your honey happy.

Happy wife = happy life.

I could put pink polka dots in our bedroom and 1. Rick wouldn't even notice, 2. He wouldn't even care, he's pretty easygoing.

Thankfully, when it came to the kitchen re-do we were in agreement on the big stuff. Or maybe he was just subscribing to that, "give her what she wants, she's going to get her way anyway" theory?
