CAR RETURN CORNER

Are you happy with it, Jerry?
Hi Patty- Yes, it's damn near perfect

Actually, the entire car was refinished except (a) passenger door; (b) front and rear bumpers. They even replaced the side strakes....which had gotten a little discolored. The PPG finish is guaranteed from peeling, crazing, etc for the LIFE OF THE CAR....which is pretty amazing.

Thanks for asking

Jerry-MA and other rabble rousers :

Final bill was $4254. which was increased due to a couple minor items....PLUS a new right rear OEM alloy wheel

It turned out that my 180* spin after impact must have included a bounce off the curb.....drastically chewing up about 12" of the edge of the wheel rim (beyond the ability of Jim's Porter Cable buffer.... ) The bill included $350 for the new wheel.....

All in all, I think that my shop delivered a whole lot of quality work for a pretty reasonable amount.

If you can't notice any differance then they did an excellent job. The lone white S up here is now in East Aurora NY (near Buffalo).

PPG finish? I thought PPG was a glass manufacturer.

They are, but they also make paints...we have a PPG plant nearby that produces them.
