Bill,
There is still PBS and the UK news if you want real news on tv and then there is public radio. Otherwise, I totally agree. It's becoming very sad really. It's like all of America has become a sports bar and doesn't care about hearing real news.

I will only offer this tidbit.
Most people are tired of having to admit they made a mistake the last time they voted.

Like most people on the internet, I have a few favorites web sites. I often go to CNN.com for news, or a local TV news (Boston) web site, among others. I use Yahoo as a home page, and have things set up the way I like them.
Every time I turn around, someone is re-designing their web page. CNN not that long ago, today it was the Boston news web site.
When they change the design of the web site it feels like going to the grocery store after they move all the stuff around. Sometimes I wish they would leave the web sites alone.
I don't care for the CNN new design, but maybe I'm just and don't like change?
What's your .02 on this?

Lainey, I only frequent two sites, S2ki and NSXPrime, so I don't know about this. I can say that I still get a daily newspaper delivered to my house, the Orange County Register and I love it.

iGoogle.com makes a nice home page. You set it up with whatever gadgets you want (and they have thousands from market summary tickers to sukodu pages). Once you set it up it pretty much stays that way. Or at least it has so far.
