Default Rarity on the way home

On the drive home from Maryland we were getting ready to leave a rest stop when this rarity pulled in to look at our MGA. This is a 1953 Bristol 403 from England (RH drive). How rare? He said it was one of four in the States. Only 287 of this model were ever built. The owner was from the UK but said he grew up in South Africa and has traveled all over Europe in the car. It sure looked like a swell touring car.

Yes. He said the car was styled in Italy.

I think there was one of these featured recently either on "Chasing Classic Cars" or maybe "One of a Kind".

Certainly is rare. Seems to have some Morgan and BMW lineage.
