Rob, My thoughts are with you and your family, your father seemed like a wonderful person...you were lucky to have him in your life, I feel the same about my dad who is getting on in years....I'm sure your dad enjoyed the S2000 get togethers just like my dad does, he never misses them!!

Rob,
My condolences on your loss. My Father-In-Law passed away suddenly on Monday, and I can appreciate what you're going through.
All my best to you and your family.

Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread. It has been a source of comfort to me.
Technically, its still the holiday and I'm not supposed to be posting yet. I'm not going to post much until after the funeral on Sunday. I just wanted to say your words and condolences have helped greatly. This morning, at 4:00 A.M., I couldn't sleep. I came down to the study and read this thread. It made me feel much better. I have read this thread, and the PMs that I have received from some of you, a number of times. I am sure that I will read it a few more times before Sunday. Thank you for being here.

Rob,
Though I don't know you very well, I can sincerely say that my heart aches for you.
The first week in October I came disturbingly close to losing my father to a massive stroke. I know how hard THAT was for me and feel incredibly lucky that my father is still with me.
What you wrote about your father being your hero, idol and mentor resonated with me. That is what my father is to me.
While I'm not online much these days (at the hospital almost every day), I want you to know that you've got a friend if you ever want/need one.
