I know about tilo, but don't usually drink it. This reminds me of the ritual of drinking mate in Argentina. A tea holder, often metal with a metal straw, is passed around to sip while peeps are socializing. Once, while my ex and I were walking around the falls at Iguascu (on the border between Argentina and Brazil - spectacular if you ever a chance to go!), I saw a woman with her mate. I mentioned it to my ex and she heard me and gave me a sip. Very nice! Also, a woman here at my subway stop sells flowers and she is Argentine. I mentioned mate to her and we are supposed to get together and have some.
