Both states affected by Katrina are thinking about voiding the Flood exclusion and making carriers pay for losses they never expected to pay for or charged for. We will all pay dearly and all I hear is that happended down there and I shouldn't have to share/ paying for their losses. Watch what happens to price of building materials. Expect 100% increases and pure GREED to rule at Home Depot & Lowes. That was case after Andrew & Hugo. All carriers were gouged by material suppliers. We all end up paying.
