Gee, just when I was thinking of hitting you up for a job too, Perk. Nevermind!
Our MsP must be a "Killer" boss.

That's what I was thinking too, Val.

I work for one of the largest and best IP law firms in the nation. I mean no expense is spared anywhere, lots of freebies, like the gym, coffee, tea, soup, etc., free health insurance, profit sharing, you name it. We just moved to a beautiful, brand new multi-million dollar building and we were recently voted the best place to work in one of the law magazines. So why, oh why did they decide to put their 4 hardworking (okay, sometimes ) proofreaders in what could only be described as a CLOSET without windows anywhere in sight. We never got over this blunder and refused to participate in the "best place to work" questionaire. Perky posted a picture and you guys came up with some doozies for solutions but it still drives us crazy to be couped up in here.

Edit: Our complaints were met with "it's not a closet" and "it's not that bad" and "you're not moving." I should have left right then and there.
Huh. I didn't know you were in a big firm Angela. I thought you and some of your friends had rented space in a basement and were taking customer service calls for Microsoft.

In my last position( The job from hell) I had a boss who managed by divide and conquer. He would go around and talk to everyone in my department until he heard the answer he wanted to hear then he would call me in and tell me how to run my department based on that one conversation.....even when what he heard came from "Bob the janitor"

I am so happy to be out of "that place". I actually work with nice people and my bosses up the ladder respect what I have to say. After 11 years of the former position, I started to question my own ideas. I am starting to feel like my old self again.....that is a scary thought

I've just developed a new one. The woman one cubby over has taken to humming the first two bars of Memories from CATS . over and over and over! I have to keep a supply of CD's next to my laptop to drown her out.

Lainey, as to your pen thief. Here's a surefire and harmless cure. Get a new cup and a bunch of pens and pencils like your regulars. Fill the bottom with epoxy and drop pens in and let the epoxy cure. Place it where you normally keep your cup. If you really want to mess him up, epoxy the cup to the desk. But that might be a bit drastic.

That's a huge space! Here's more than half of mine: Note the monitor and laptop screens, though.

And how many folks are in your space at any given time, AJ? And you can keep your files near you?

Edit: AND you can decorate? Love your wallpaper.
