Dave, sorry about the son, his divorce and his moving back home. It happens. I'm so thankful it hasn't happened to us, but I never say never. Life is full of surprises, not all of them pleasant.

Well we're not empty nesters yet. #1 son is still home.
Somewhere the last 4 years got by us with respect to my younger son and I regret that.
Perhaps it was that he was 400 miles away at school.
Perhaps it he has made his own way and forged his own path.
While not quite at escape velocity but not far from it either.

It's funny sometimes.
I moved from a small town in Tennessee to Columbus, OH decades ago. The job market was much better here. Subsequently, I got married, took out a mortgage on a house, etc. Yet my father would ask me "when are you coming home" for a visit. I don't think it ever sunk in that this is my "home" now.
