I guess that can be just like any other auto company when they want to be. Sad.
I'm not convinced this is a problem and not just a class action suit without merit.

EDIT: I looked at the link and I guess it's real. I just add oil as needed but haven't had any misfire problems.

How often do you need to add oil? That is still odd that you would have to do that. With the AP2 version of the S, we've never needed oil between changes, and I've never had to add any to the Jeep or the WRX. It would annoy me to do it in a daily driver that was brand new.

Not as often as when it was new. I don't know off-hand, but I have been keeping track of it in my Auto Record book for the Crosstour.

Auto Record At-A-Glance

^I've used these for every car I've ever owned, starting with my 1970 Datsun 510. The only one I'm missing is the one for my 2001 Silverstone S2000 since AA won't give it to me.

Given that I just got the new E550, I got an Android app called Driver's Journal which allows me to track all of the expenses.

My question is why do you want to? Seriously. The only time we track anything is on a road trip. Then we check gas mileage. Outside of that, we get the oil changed every 3K on our vehicles, replace tires as we should, and do recommended maintenance, keeping the receipts.

Do you guys just have that much time to spare to track this stuff? And what do you do with said information?

If I was buying a used car, and someone handed me maintenance receipts, I'd appreciate it, but other stuff would mean nothing to me.

Different strokes. Enjoy that tracking app, Jerry.

I wish I had done it with our other vehicles.
I like my MB's but they're not cheap to keep rolling.
Of course then again, maybe I really don't want to know how much I've put into my ML320 over the last 15 years.
but I always check mileage at every fill-up.
