Patty and Chet's CrossTour thread
#201
Thanks, Raymo. It generally takes one of us (who shall remain nameless, but I refer to him as +1) at least a year and sometimes a wee bit more to settle on what he'd like to buy. I try my very best to stay out of it other than suggest various vehicles for his consideration. I have advised him he may want to check out the Cross Tour and he was happy to put it on the list. Since the Grand Cherokee is beginning to show some age and has over 140k miles, we've started casually looking around and he is taking notes and doing research.

Hey, Raymo, how are you liking your Crosstour these days? I love mine, still. I have 26,470 miles on mine. I wasn't a fan of the OEM tires and they were getting low although not to the treadbars but I bought some Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology off Tire Rack ($628.00 with shipping) and had them installed at Big O Tires ($61.60). Haven't had them on long enough to form an opinion but they're better than what was on there. When it rained a couple weeks ago and the anti-lock breaks kicked in just for slowing down on a downhill, it scared me enough to change the tires.

Did you receive a notice about the class action suit for excessive oil burning/cylinder misfires? If not here's a link:

We've not experienced any problems so far.

I think it had Michelins on it. I did get a class action suit notice but didn't look too hard. Mine does use oil but it hasn't had misfires, yet.

For a minute there I thought we were talking about a Honda but that can't be. . . . not a Honda with issues.
I guess that can be just like any other auto company when they want to be. Sad.
