I had a busy day but managed to get the ladder out and trim a few trees. I’ve been looking at branches that were hanging over the roof of the house and it has been driving me nuts so glad that is done. Next I’ve got a lot of weeds that need to be pulled.

If I want to see baby bunnies I just look at the front lawn.

Makes me think of the scene in the movie Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

I got up today to a baby bunny outside my bedroom slider. It had no head. I'll spare you the photo.

We have hawks, none necessary. I found a pile of feathers on the lawn the other day before mowing.

Yeah we have some pretty large predator birds here as well. So we see less rabbits and squirrels than one may expect given where we live! We also have a large number of owls an coyotes ... so night time is not safe for lots of little animals either

The fawn now is just completely used to us. Walked up within about 10 feet of the edge of the garden fence where I was working this weekend checking me out. Even after getting spooked it only ran about 30 feet away and lied down to keep watching me.

picked 5 nice black krim's yesterday and a small pile of san marzanos. Not bad for early June in MO! Going to be having some BLTs with one of those krims tonight. We have been snacking daily on cherry tomatoes for about a month now. First year we planted sungold and they are now my new favorite cherry tomato. Potato plants are huge, peppers doing well, cucumbers just starting to shoot out their vines and pole beans are climbing away so things are picking up in the garden area. Some of our tomato plants are already 3-4 feet tall. Really pushed the early planting this year and it almost bit us a couple of times but it has turned out well!
