Every few years our dogwood decides to look good.

Dave, I find it amusing that yours has leaves and flowers while our leaves are just starting to emerge.

Jerry, we have one in the front where it's shaded and it barely has leaves.

This terrarium is about 40 years old. Put some philodendron in a wine bottle in the 80s (maybe earlier) and it just kept going and going and going. Seldom add a little water. Push it down every once in awhile when it starts coming out the top.

Dave, your flowering dogwood is very pretty. Is it a tall tree?

How does it look in the fall and winter?

Does it have berries that attract birds?

At one time it had a really good shape but it got something that caused it to nearly die. Donna was sure it was dead but I didn't give up and I cut it way back and it lived! It lived!
Typically I think they should only grow to about 6 feet. A bite of advise, don't plant it in front of a motion light. In any case, this is what it looked like a couple weeks earlier. For some reason the cardinals like it and often perch on it. We have so many eating options the birds don't bother the berries and there is never that many.



PS- At Xmas Donna bury's it with Xmas lights.

My landlady had these planted last year, so far they are the only things that have bloomed. Things are getting green though.
